A BRIEF SUMMARY OF MY CONTRACT
The most important thing for me in selling my kittens and cats is that they be happy for their whole life. I am not breeding cats for the purpose of selling them. Unfortunately I cannot keep them all. Who purchases them is of great concern to me and I try to be careful. I like for them to go to well established homes where they will have a stable situation. I try very hard to make sure the buyer will have the desire and understanding to treat these babies with the care they deserve.
Basically my contract requires that they be sheltered and never let outdoors to roam free. That they be fed quality food, kept clean, vetted when necessary. I ask that they be provided with toys, bedding and lots of play and one on one qualtiy time from their people.
For pets I require them to be spayed or neutered when they become of age. I will only provide registration papers upon receiving an original statement from a qualified vet that the cat has been altererd. If they are old enough before leaving here I will have them altered before shipping.
In my belief, declawing is a mutilation of the cats foot. It removes the toe to the first digit. If we were declawed in the manner of a cat we would lose the first section of our fingers. Cats nails should be clipped on a regular basis for their own safety and health. Bi-weekly clipping will insure they not be injured by getting the claw caught in something. Please do not declaw.
My contract requests that I receive the first right of refusal to buy the kitten/cat back if the owner ever cannot or does not want to care for it .I do not want my kitty passed around from home to home. I do not want it abandoned. I absolutely demand that it never to taken to an animal shelter or pet shop or sold for testing. If at anytime I find that the kitten purchased from me has been given away, abandoned, taken to an animal shelter or sold to a pet shop or for animal testing, legal action will be taken. Live animals are not objects. They are little souls wrapped in fur and they have feelings. This is why I am very particular about where my kitties go.
The cat or kitten is guaranteed to be free of contagious diseases at time of pick up. This guarantee must be validated by inspection of a qualified vet within three days of pick up. IF ANY VACCINATIONS OR TREATMENT NOT PROVIDED BY ME ARE GIVEN IN THIS THREE DAY WORKING PERIOD THE HEALTH GUARANTEE IS NULL AND VOID. I WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY SERVICES RENDERED BY ANY VET OTHER THAN MY OWN.
Further, I guarantee that if your cat should die of a genetic or hereditary disease, validated by a qualified vet in writing on his/her stationary with the printed address, phone, etc of the animal hospital, I will replace with a cat of equal value as soon as one is available. NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED.
If you wish to reserve a kitten or cat you will need to give me a non-refundable deposit of one half the purchase price.
All shipping is done by a friend who takes the kitten/cat with her in the passenger section of the plane. I do not ship cargo. This way we know that the kitty is safe on its journey. For most destinations the charge currently is $200 to $300 for shipping.
Kittens will absolutely not leave here until they are AT LEAST 12 Weeks old and until I am sure that they are
ready to flourish away from their mama cat and the home and attention they are accustomed to. NO EXCEPTIONS!
